Former IBM Executive Dealmaker Financial Services succeeds Quintijn Knepper
As of 1 October 2013, Jitscale has a new Commercial Director: Paul van der Marck. In his new position Van der Marck is responsible for all of Jitscale’s sales and marketing activities in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Paul van der Marck takes the baton from Quintijn Knepper, who has contributed greatly to the company’s continuing success during his eight-year tenure at Jitscale and now moves on to become director of CloverTwo. At CloverTwo Knepper will be focusing on the optimization of sales processes within the hotel and catering industry and retail market, by making clever use of big data and cloud technology.
Van der Marck has been active in the field of marketing, sales, business and IT management for well over 25 years and worked for among others Philips, Zurich Financial Services and Rijnconsult/Ordina. In recent years Van der Marck was active as Executive Dealmaker Financial Services at IBM Software Group Europe. He is also an avid blogger and often discusses Business and IT related matters on his blog.
His main task is to further shape the expansion of Jitscale in various market sectors. Van der Marck: “Jitscale is young and dynamic and has grown substantially in the past few years. The company has positioned itself well in the market of online platform outsourcing. Recent studies have shown that the increasing complexity of IT and the growing need for information security will result in a growing demand for the outsourcing of business-critical IT platforms. It is my job to design these opportunities for growth and lift Jitscale to an even higher level within various markets.”
CloverTwo, online information systems provider for the hospitality industry, contracted Jitscale to develop and fully manage its IT infrastructure. Jitscale has supplemented their IT & Cloud Architects team with Dennis Strijder and Thijs van Leeuwen. Strijder worked as a Technical Architect for VX Company during the last five years. Van Leeuwen was already working for Jitscale as a network and infrastructure specialist. Read more
The ‘IT Infrastructure Outsourcing Survey’ released today shows that the cost of keeping pace with IT complexity and the increasing need for data security is driving companies to embrace outsourcing. These were the top two challenges in managing an IT infrastructure identified by senior IT staff in 330 businesses in the U.S., U.K. and the Netherlands. Read more
Recently AMBER Alert Europe went live. This new European platform, which informs citizens about missing and abducted children, offers European member states access to the AMBER Alert technology that has been successfully implemented in the Netherlands since 2008. The goal is to create one cross-border network of AMBER Alert systems in the EU and save as many lives as possible in the hours following child abductions or disappearances. Jitscale is one of the main sponsors of the AMBER alert platform and manages the complete IT infrastructure of their European platform.
