Jitscale customer Achmea fills top 3 online survey health insurers
According to the web performance scan carried out by online competitor analysis specialist WUA! in November, Zilveren Kruis is the favourite when it comes to applying for health insurance online. FBTO and Agis moved up to second and third place respectively, making it an all Achmea top 3. Jitscale has been facilitating and managing part of the award winning website of Zilveren Kruis for several years. Jitscale also provides IT support for other Achmea brands.
Jitscale celebrates rebranding ‘sky high’
On the evening of Tuesday 29 November, Jitscale organized a Rebranding Event on the 32th floor of the Amsterdam Rembrandt Tower, the highest viewpoint of Amsterdam and surroundings. Jitscale invited customers and business acquaintances to celebrate the merger of IC&S and Jitscale and the company’s new name: Jitscale.
Jitscale and Greenclouds join forces in international cloud market
Jitscale, an international outsourcing partner for business-critical IT platforms, has partnered up with Greenclouds, the first independent aggregator and distributor of datacenter over-capacity. Greenclouds enables companies to sell their over-capacity or buy extra capacity when needed. This allows others to efficiently put to use the energy used for the connection and cooling of ‘redundant’ servers. A scenario that is quite common in the energy market, but which until recently was unheard of in IT.

Jitscale to meet Britain’s increasing IT challenges with new London office
On September 1 Jitscale expanded its European operations to meet the increasing market demand for IT services with the launch of a third international brand in London. Jitscale, the international outsourcing partner for business critical IT platforms, is headquartered in the Netherlands with a further two US offices, in New York and Orlando.
Jitscale certificates not affected
Jitscale takes care of new requests, timely renewal and installation of SSL certificates for all customers. Jitscale also advises customers on the type of certificate and the right vendor. None of our customers currently use certificates signed by DigiNotar. Jitscale will remain vigilant in following the news around this security incident.
Amazon’s European cloud struck by lightning, but Jitscale customers were not affected
Amazon’s Web Services’ European cloud suffered an outage over the weekend due to a lightning strike to the transformer at one of its power suppliers. The outage affected its European Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and Relational Database Service (RDS) cloud services, among others.
Windows Azure Cloud Appliance presented by Microsoft
During its yearly Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2011, Microsoft introduced Windows Azure Cloud Appliance to its partners. The appliance can be used by Microsoft partners to roll-out new cloud services in data centers. The available server capacity will be maximally utilized for the usage of business applications.
International growth in US dictates move to larger office

There is some good news for all Jitscale customers running their infrastracture on Amazon AWS. Amazon will lower its data transfer prices, making cloud computing – besides increasing the flexibility of your organization and improving the performance of your infrastructure – even more cost effective.
