Amazon VPC now available in Europe

Amazon has recently launched Amazon VPC in Europe; opening doors for customers to connect their existing infrastructure to a set of isolated AWS compute resources in the EU via a VPN-connection. They can now use their management capabilities such as firewalls, security services, and intrusion detection systems to include their AWS resources.
Great news for Jitscale, because we can now offer our customers Virtual Private Clouds in Europe. Our customers will benefit from reduced network latency between Amazon VPC and their existing infrastructure. Furthermore, it will also help them meet EU requirements for where the data is stored.
How you can benefit from Amazon VPC
Expand your applications into the cloud
Lower your total cost of ownership by moving corporate applications like email systems, CRM applications, and ticketing & financial systems into the cloud. Because your VPC can exist behind your own firewall, your users keep on accessing your applications the way they are used to.
Auto-scaling of your website
You can use AWS instances in combination with Amazon VPC to add additional web servers to your website when your traffic exceeds the capacity of your on-premise servers. The web servers will automatically scale up or down when needed. The back-end of your website, database servers, authentication servers and so on will remain within your datacenter.
Back-up & recovery
Back-up your company critical data securely from your datacenter to the cloud by using Amazon VPC. In the event of a disaster, you can quickly launch temporarily compute capacity to ensure your business continuity. When the disaster is over, send your business critical data back to your datacenter. The used instances are automatically discontinued.
