Rackspace launches Cloud DNS
Rackspace has launched its own Cloud DNS service, following Amazon’s Route 53.
Current users of Rackspace cloud services can use Cloud DNS to manage their own DNS server in the cloud. Customers can manage the basic DNS functions like creating/ changing of records, TTL, zone transfers and IPv6-settings. Additional services will be added in the near future.
The services is currently offered to British and American customers only. It’s not yet known when Cloud DNS will be available for Dutch customers. Cloud DNS is a free service.
