Research for Public Broadcasting

Under the Media act, NPO (The Netherlands Public Broadcasting) promotes cooperation and coordination among national public broadcasters. For some time Public Broadcasting has been looking for the right solution of content syndication.

The spearheads of Public Broadcasting on the internet are cooperation and syndication. Broadcasters already syndicate a lot of content, but TROS has asked IC&S (former name of Jitscale) to research overall support within the NPO regarding a shared platform of content syndication.

The purpose of the research is to list technical and functional wishes and demands of the different broadcasters concerning a content syndication platform and advice on feasibility of such a system.

This assignment was given to IC&S because of its broad experience with internet technology, and her expertise, skill and references in Dutch media.
