HUB Uitgevers chooses new technology partner

HUB Uitgevers (HUB Publishers) was founded in 1993 and has grown to be one of the leading IT publishers in the Netherlands and Belgium. With over 20 consumer titles and some business-to-business magazines, HUB Uitgevers serves almost every section in IT industry. HUB Uitgevers publishes magazines, both for IT professionals and novice consumers, and everything in between. Over 30 titles means they have the most comprehensive portfolio of all Dutch IT publishers.

Magazines published by HUB include PC-Active, Vives, PC Consument, PC Plus, GMR Magazine and Home Entertainment Today (HET), and HUB also produces customer media such as the biggest Dutch cycling magazine: TRING!

In November, HUB Uitgevers took over some titles from VNU Media including Computer Idee, PCM and Power Unlimited. With this takeover, HUB’s leading position in the IT market strengthened considerably. For internet environment management of these magazines, IC&S (former name of Jitscale) was chosen as technology partner. Here, IC&S runs the entire server park.

Project administrator, Frank van der Pluijm explains: “We have analysed several partners. One of the things we especially liked about IC&S was their specialist knowledge of MMbase, but also their practical hands-on mentality.”
