Developer (open source) m/f

Are you a developer who gets enthusiastic about complex problems with internet-related and cloud-based infrastructures? Are you constantly looking for new technologies and methods to further improve your solutions? Then you might be the developer we are looking for!

Due to our rapid expansion to the US, we are looking for a skilled Developer (Open Source) for our Orlando office. Our customers are mostly based in Europe and you will be working closely with our Dutch development team.

The job

As a developer you are part of Jitscale’s development team and your daily work consists of:

• Development of new software for customers and/or internal systems
• Development of Open Source projects
• Development and maintenance of the Jitscale cloud management layer and portal
• Development and maintenance of website performance measurement software
• Development and maintenance of Jitscale’s customer support portal

We don’t limit ourselves by using one technology, but believe in using the most effective solution to fix the problem/ objective. We use the following technologies, amongst others:

• Java, PHP, Perl, Python and Ruby (on rails)
• HTML, Javascript and CSS

Job requirements

You have at least a bachelor degree (BSc.) and you worked in a similar position before. You are service-oriented, reliable and you have technical as well as analytical insight. Next to this you like to work on complex challenges, while using your constantly growing technical knowledge to come up with the most effective solution. You enjoy sparring with your peers about possible solutions, but are not afraid to make decisions on your own. Above all, your most important personal characteristic is enthusiasm!

Sharing your knowledge among your peers is very important to us and we spend much time in coaching your further development as a developer.
