About  ICTU

ICTU is a government foundation that coordinates and tenders out government ICT-objectives. ICTU joins knowledge and skills in ICT and government. For and with government organisations, ICTU carries out different programs. Thus, policy gets translated into concrete projects for the government.  The ICTU device is: “help authorities improve their ICT performance.”

ICTU and Jitscale

Overheid.nl unlocks many public bodies through internet for citizens. Finding information on licenses and where to apply for them is an example for one of its functionalities. The whole environment is built up in MMbase. Web Guidelines also need to be taken into account. These are created to guarantee quality and accessibility.

The MMbase environment has been rebuilt from scratch. By using the Web Guidelines, given the exemplary nature of the site, the structure has been improved. Furthermore, many government authorities are now linked by use of a link-management system. As a result many sources of information are linked to the site.
